Notes:

Resources for HTML, CSS, Javascript, and more information for the web designer.

This was put together from my URI class notes. I would like to add other resources if you have any particular ones you personally use and would like to see included here. Feel free to contact me with your suggestions.

This page is not accessible via my main site. It's designed for personal use. I will not be providing a link to it other than forwarding the URL address to friends and classmates. If you'd like to make use of these resources in the future be sure to bookmark this page.

Using caps in your naming convention can prove to be a nightmare. I spent about two days trying to figure out why my use of uploaded fonts was not being seen by the browsers. What did I do wrong? It was working for a while. I didn't change any of the CSS. What went wrong? One morning, I'm looking at my FTP window and I notice the "Fonts" folder is capitalized on the remote server. Can it be that simple? Uploading my capitalized Fonts folder from the local drive to the remote server, I inadvertently changed the lowercase folder and thus rendered my CSS null and void. Great lesson. Annoying experience. Remember always use lowercase!!

Web Site Design Resources:

If you've stumbled onto this page via internet search by mistake, it's a page I use in my web designing. It's just a collection of sites I use to help in getting things done. Reference material. Sites designed for a specific purpose and audience in mind.
